Abstract
Summary A review of the clinical features, treatment, and mycologic findings of 11 cases of phycomycosis entomophthorae in Nigeria is given, with a discussion of its etiology, and a comparison of this condition with subcutaneous phycomycosis of the face. The disease responded to potassium iodide, though less dramatically than had been reported in cases of subcutaneous phycomycosis. Resistance to treatment with potassium iodide was recorded in one case. Entomophthora coronata was isolated in the six cases in which cultures were made. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
