Education and the Population Explosion

Abstract
A survey of students and faculty at Cornell University designed to test attitudes toward family size and contraception showed that: (1) more than 50% of each subgroup desired more than three children; (2) the oral contraceptive for women was judged the most desirable contraceptive; (3) vasectomy was generally considered unacceptable; and (4) a substantial proportion (even 20% of the Biology Faculty) was misinformed on at least one of the consequences of vasectomy.
