Abstract
Investigated the effect of visual and auditory distracting stimuli upon the runway performance of 24 hippocampectomized rats. Although the distracting stimuli affected the controls significantly more than the hippocampectomized Ss, the latter also showed a decrement in performance. The results supported a response-inhibition theory of hippocampal function. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)Keywords
