Abstract
A simplification of Hayashi's method of symmetrical components for the steady-state analysis of periodically interrupted circuits is presented. The mathematical basis of the method is shown in terms of eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a transfer matrix. The method is illustrated by derivation of the equations for a balanced 3-phase bridge-type inverter and by the solution of the equations for the same inverter with infinite choke and resistive load.Keywords
