Abstract
Using numerical integration, we recently studied the multistate kinetics for non‐steady‐state nucleation in supersaturated water vapor. For cluster sizes i less than the critical size i*(i < i*) , we noted a consistent “overshoot” of the currents Ii from the steady‐state current I . The maximum of Ii is greater in magnitude and is reached at an earlier time ti as we examine progressively smaller clusters. In this paper, we will present a theoretical argument for the feature of the maximums in the currents.
