Electron-Phonon Interaction via the Augmented-Plane-Wave Method

Abstract
A form of electron-phonon matrix element is presented and justfied. The integrals in the matrix element are then reduced to sums of quantities appearing in existing augmented-plane-wave computer programs. The method holds special promise for the practical numerical evaluation of the electron-phonon interaction for the transition metals.Keywords
