Abstract
The paper is concerned with the modelling and simulation of coherent clutter processes with partial statistical information such as Weibull envelope distribution and covariance structure of the in-phase and quadrature components. The nonlinear mapping relationship between the complex Weibull covariance sequence and Gaussian covariance sequence is derived. Based on this mapping, a simulation scheme for specified Weibull envelope distributions and complex covariance sequences is developed. The proposed method has been tested with many different examples, and the experimental results indicate that the scheme works very well. We also include discussions on the constraints on the covariance sequence of a narrowband process and the compatibility problem. Keywords
