Abstract
The formation processes of the “bi-intercalation” type compounds in the systems of AlCl3-FeCl3-graphite and AlCl3-CuCl2-graphite were studied by using three different reaction paths. By structural refinement the “mixed” type compounds were found to have more defective intercalate layers than the “bi-intercalation” type. Keywords
