Abstract
The purification and growth of BiI3 crystals from the vapor phase and some electro‐optical characterization measurements are described. The sublimed boules had large single‐crystalline pieces which could be cleaved to give areas of about 1 cm in diameter and about 1 mm in thickness. The complex index of refraction evaluated at a wavelength of 1 μm is N = 3.13−i(3.2×10−5).This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
