Abstract
Four cases with severe hand problems following self administered injections by drug addicts are described. Two cases required amputations of gangrenous portions of fingers, one had an abscess on the dorsum of the hand and a fourth had an early Volkmann's Ischaemic Contracture following an injection into the cubital fossa. Special problems arising in such cases are discussed. Keywords
