Abstract
E-Cholinesterase ("true" cholinesterase) from human erythrocytes and snake venoms catalyzed the hydrolysis of ethoxy-ethanol acetate, desoxycorticosterone acetate, ketopropanol acetate, phenyl acetate, p-nitrophenyl acetate and acetylsalicylic acid. The first mentioned ester was attacked more effectively by e-cholinesterase than by s-cholinesterase ("pseudo"-cholinesterase).Keywords
