Energy metabolism in hypnotic trance and sleep

Abstract
The energy metabolism of 14 healthy males was studied before and during a hypnotic trance in the basal state. Metabolic rates during the basal waking, the basal hypnotic trance and the basal sleep were also determined in three subjects for 3 consecutive days, respectively.
