Proton NMR line shapes inZrHx

Abstract
The second moments (M2D) were obtained from magic-echo measurements of the proton line shapes for high-purity polycrystalline ZrHx. Contrary to previous reports of anomalously large M2D values in ZrHx, the present results are in excellent agreement with the calculated dipolar moments which assume random occupancy of protons on only tetrahedral interstitial sites.
