Abstract
Reports the results of granulometric, chemical, and heavy mineral analyses of Redonian (Tertiary) and overlying fluviatile sands in the Apigne region, France. The Redonian sands are composed of fine quartz grains and contain glauconite, tourmaline, and silicates derived from metamorphic rocks. The largest of the three fractions of the fluviatile sediments is composed of transported material; the other two fractions consist of reworked material from the underlying Redonian sands. Keywords
