Abstract
A 61-year-old man with seropositive rheumatoid arthritis consulted his rheumatologist because of a three-week history of pain in the right hip.My first concern would be to find out whether the hip pain is related to the rheumatoid arthritis. I would want to know whether the man's right hip was involved in the past and whether there was a history of recent trauma. If the patient had been treated with corticosteroids, I would wonder about aseptic necrosis of the hip or infection.The pain was severe and localized to the right lateral iliac crest, with occasional radiation . . .Keywords
