Abstract
The equations needed for calculating the intensity of a spectral line produced by a concave grating are developed for a source of given monochromatic radiant power. These equations are then applied to give a comparison of the reflectance of gratings tested with the same source and with the other conditions also similar. Another application for the purpose of comparing the reflectance of the same grating in different orders of the same line is also described. The results are given for the determination of the reflectance of a particular Siegbahn glass grating. Keywords
