Abstract
Incubation time curves were investigated in double-antibody radioimmunoassay systems. It was confirmed that the first reaction is not always halted on addition of the second antiserum; depending on the condition of the system at the time of adding the second antiserum, the first reaction may continue slowly, come to a standstill, or be reversed. A kinetic interpretation is discussed. Under the experimental conditions employed, the distortion of incubation time curves produced by disregarding the observed phenomena was found to be slight.
