Abstract
Studies of alienation among Native Americans have been few. Reliance on sociological and psychological themes is commonplace in explaining Native Americans' alienation. This project was designed to explore the relationship between alienation and Native Americans' identification (26 men, 27 women) in an urban setting. Analysis generated correlations for scores on alienation with age, years of schooling, years of living in the city, percentage of Indian blood, self-rating of Indian identity, and Indian pride which were affected by gender. Keywords
