Abstract
Waveguide structures with two corrugated interfaces are considered. It is shown theoretically and experimentally that these structures can form the basis for a highly-efficient unidirectional grating coupler for slab waveguides. The anomalous light reflection from waveguides with two corrugated boundaries is also considered. The possibility of using corrugated waveguides for frequency stabilization of a semiconductor laser is demonstrated. Keywords
