Abstract
A rare case of hydatid disease involving the iliac bone is reported. The nonspecific presenting history, the intraoperative diagnosis, the multiple recurrences and the relentless local spread of the disease are characteristically demonstrated in this patient over a 14 yr follow-up period. An unusual form of radical surgery, resection of the ilium, did not succeed in eradicating the disease. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
