Total Internal Conversion Coefficient of the 23.9-keV Ground-State Transition inSn119m

Abstract
The total internal conversion coefficient of the 23.874-keV transition in Sn119m is found to be α=5.13±0.15, on the basis of γ- and x-ray intensity measurements with a high-resolution solid-state x-ray spectrometer. Consequently, the Mössbauer cross section for resonant absorption by Sn119 is (1.40±0.05)×1018 cm2.
