Subtotal colectomy and caecoproctostomy

Abstract
The technique of subtotal colectomy with caecoproctostomy is described, together with clinical details of 6 patients in whom it was performed. An important feature of the operation is retention of the ileocaecal sphincter which helps to maintain almost normal bowel function.Keywords
