Abstract
A specialized architecture is presented for signal processing computation inside a transputer network. The basic idea is that dedicated processors have to be used in their own fields of skill in order to achieve an optimal computation solution. The architecture presented features a simple T222 transputer, a TMS320C25 digital signal processor, and a specialized analog interface. It is seen as an ordinary T-node by the transputer network, but it also acts as a powerful interface to the signal world. Boards implementing this architecture have been realized and successfully tested.
