Abstract
The ordering of one- and two-dimensional systems with a continuous symmetry is considered in the absence of a symmetry-breaking field. It is shown rigorously that no spontaneous ordering can occur; bounds on the order-order correlation function integrated over a subdomain indicate how the short-range order decays with distance. Keywords
