Abstract
The use of the International System of Units (SI) results in the replacement of the energy unit Calorie by the energy unit Joule. This results in new numeric relations in measuring the energy metabolism and also in formulating systems of energetic feed evaluation. The new numeric relations for the parameters of the East German system of feed evaluation and for measuring energy metabolism are described for animal production energy research.
