Abstract
Hierarchical linear models provide a flexible method for investigating multi-level data. This strategy uses statistical summaries of within- unit relationships as dependent variables in between-unit analysis. This paper reviews these procedures and illustrates substantive applications in the areas of individual change and organizational influences on individual attitudes. Keywords
