Abstract
Modification of chromosomal analysis techniques used with rats and Chinese hamsters has allowed application to gonadotropin-induced oocytes from the golden hamster and the squirrel monkey to be examined. No evidence was found for a direct effect of the gonadotropins on the chromosomal normality of the oocytes in either species. This has implications for future studies on primate in vitro fertilization. Keywords
