Abstract
Karyotypes of 6 spp. of Gerbillidae (Rodentia) (Taterillus congicus, T. sp. d''Oursi, Tatera nigrita, Tatera guineae, Psammomys obesus and Pachyuromys duprasi) are described and compared to those of species already studied. Many chromosomal homologies are demonstrated, as is the existence of many rearrangements. Some genera, e.g., Taterillus, have undergone a very complex chromosomal evolution, while others have kept their karyotypes fairly close to that of the common ancestor. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
