Abstract
A fatal case of nickel carbonyl poisoning occurred. Death was due to pulmonary and cerebral edema. Treatment with diethyldi- thiocarbamate sodium was not effective, perhaps because of the severity of the exposure and the short interval between administration of the drug and death. Nickel carbonyl poisoning may be readily overlooked in hospital practice. The current method of therapy is reviewed. Keywords
