Spherical Chiroshield

Abstract
Chiral coatings can be used to reduce the radar cross-section of both planar and curved surfaces. The canonical problem of electromagnetic wave backscatter from a metallic sphere covered by a chiral layer is investigated. Chiral coatings offer significant improvement in reduced reflection when compared to their conventional nonchiral counterparts for radii of curvature on the order of half a wavelength or larger.
