Measured Lifetimes of Some Au Vibrational Levels of N2+ Molecules

Abstract
A delayed coincidence technique has been used to measure the radiative lifetimes of the v′=2, 3 , and 4 levels of the A 2Πu State of N2+ . The data closely follows the simple theory for collisional deactivation. The lifetimes, extrapolated to zero pressure, are 9.4± 1, 9.5± 1 , and 8.9± 1 μ sec for the v′=2, 3 , and 4 levels, respectively.
