Abstract
Milk was collected from the following animals: caribou, dall sheep, fin whale, harp seal, moose, musk-ox, polar bear, and reindeer. The caseins prepared from these milks were analyzed for their hexose, hexosamine, and sialic acid contents. The hexose, hexosamine, and sialic acid contents ranged from 0.48 to 4.49, 0.09 to 0.59, and 0.0 to 2.29%, respectively.Keywords
