Abstract
In a critical replication and extension of the Astoi and National studies on the dimensions of organizational structure, a strong linkage was suggested between decentralization of operations, (but not of more strategy decision taking) and formalization, functional specialization, and professional qualifications of officeholders so providing substantial support for the concept of a bureaucratic strategy of control. Keywords
