Abstract
Seven cases of meningiomas with “pseudopsammoma bodies” have previously been described in the literature. Two additional cases are presented. Electron microscopy of the cells surrounding the “pseudopsammoma bodies” reveals an ultrastructure different from that of the meningotheliomatous cells. It is concluded that meningotheliomatous meningiomas with “pseudopsammoma bodies” are mixed tumours, including a non-meningotheliomatous component, the origin and significance of which is uncertain. Keywords
