Abstract
This paper reports the results of two experiments designed to test the impact of certain task variables on implicit communication theory. More specifically, the solution multiplicity dimension of tasks influences the formality and cooperation dimensions of an individual's implicit communication theory; and difficulty also affects perceptions of equality in the communication. The results are discussed in terms of contextual influences on communication. Keywords
