Satisfaction in Family, Employment, and Community Roles

Abstract
The relationships between family type (one career, career earner, and dual career) and satisfaction in family, employment and community roles, rated on a scale from 0 to 10, were examined using responses from 166 couples. No differences were found in role satisfaction among husbands by family type. Among wives, there were significant differences in rated satisfaction for employment and community roles. Regardless of family type, wives rated satisfaction with family roles high.
