Abstract
This paper presents the velocity field of the longitudinal vortices found in the wake of a circular cylinder, as measured using digital particle image velocimetry (PIV). Vorticity and circulation of the longitudinal vortices are presented, based on instantaneous velocity distributions in a transverse plane behind the cylinder.Keywords
