Abstract
Two-photon ionization of helium is investigated by using a discretization technique. Perturbative cross sections are calculated with a L2 basis set (B-splines), the efficiency of such an approach is discussed in the context of above threshold ionization (ATI). We propose a parametrization of the cross sections in the region of resonances. The role of the correlations is discussed in a P-Q Feshbach projection treatment. Keywords
