Abstract

The branching ratio

Γ \frac{({K_{L}}^{0} \to 2 π^{0})}{Γ ({K_{L}}^{0} \to 3 π^{0})}

has been measured directly, using a heavy-liquid bubble chamber, and found to be

(3.2 \pm 1.5) \times 10^{- 3}

, from which

| η_{00} | = (1.9 \pm 0.5) \times 10^{- 3}

.
