Abstract
The biosynthesis of glauconic acid in Penicillium purpurogenum has been investigated by use of labelled acetate, pyruvate, succinate, and glucose. The distribution of activity found in these feeding experiments supports the scheme previously suggested for the biosynthesis via a substituted citric acid and dimerisation of a C9 unit. Keywords
