Abstract
A simple off‐axis hologram has been recorded on thin bismuth film using a train of picosecond pulses from a mode‐locked Nd: glass laser. Due to the ultrashort pulse duration and temporal coherence length of the laser, a time‐of‐arrival principle is utilized to show the correspondence of a point on the hologram to some specific region of the object. Keywords
