Abstract
They tried everything, but it still didn't work. Two research groups report here on their attempts to reproduce the results reported by Breitmaier et al. (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. Engl. 1994, 33, 454). According to the subsequent statement by E. Breitmaier (see p. 1414 this issue), the claim of absolute asymmetric synthesis in a static homogeneous magnetic field is fraudulent.Keywords
