Abstract
All forms of trophoblastic tumours may metastasise to the lungs. Three principal forms of metastases are encountered. The first is a discrete form with well-defined rounded opacities; a second presents a “snowstorm” pattern of multiple small soft shadows, and in a third the tumour is confined to the pulmonary arteries so that the clinical and radiological picture closely mimics pulmonary thrombo-embolism. The chemotherapeutic methods used and the results obtained are presented in brief. Keywords
