Abstract

The relation between

{sin}^{2} θ_{eff}^{lept}

frequently employed in CERN LEP analyses and the

\overset{―}{MS}

parameter

{sin}^{2} {\hat{θ}}_{W} (m_{Z})

is discussed and their difference evaluated by means of an explicit calculation.
