Abstract
The purpose of this article is to convey an understanding of the hazard of microwave exposure in its true perspective along with the more commonly understood hazards of electrical power equipment. This understanding is a helpful supplement to detailed precautions and instructions for use of such equipment provided by manufacturers. A rational view of microwave hazards is particularly desirable to counteract distorted and irrational views of microwave hazards that are prevalent today.
