Abstract
Two new sterol glycosides, mp [melting point] 270.5-275.5.degree. C (dec.), [.alpha.]D=42.4.degree., C39H64O14 (I) and mp 214-217.degree. C (dec.), [.alpha.]D-58.3.degree., C45H74O18 (II), were obtained from aerial parts of F. thunbergii. On the basis of the results of spectral and chemical investigations, I and II were characterized as 3-O-.beta.-D-glucopyranosyl-6,22-dioxo-5.alpha.-cholestan-3.beta.,26-diol 26-O-.beta.-L-glucopyranoside and 3-O-.alpha.-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 .fwdarw. 2)-.beta.-D-glucopyranolsyl-6,22-dioxo-5.alpha.-cholestan-3.beta.,26-diol 26-O-.beta.-D-glucopyranoside, respectively. Keywords
