Abstract
The Wittig reaction of stable ylide, triphenyl-carbethoxymethylene phosphorane, with aldehydes was performed within 5–6 minutes under microwave irradiation. Remarkable rate enhancements and dramatic reductions of reaction times have been observed. Thus, the Wittig reaction of stable ylide with aldehyde is optimized. Keywords
