Estuarial Sediment Transport Patterns

Abstract
Sediment deposits in estuaries are clayey muds; transport of these muds is determined by flocculation characteristic of suspended clays; flocculation process and deposition and scour of bed of sediments is described; process of shoaling in Mare Island Strait, which is artificially deepened side arm of San Francisco Bay.
