Abstract
Square-shouldered and Yukawa-shouldered hard-sphere model potentials have been used to find the best possible fits of these types to the experimental structure factors, S(q), of liquid polyvalent metals. The trends in the model potentials which best fit the S(q) are seen to follow the corresponding trends for the crystal structures studied by Hafner and Heine (1983).Keywords
