Abstract
When estimated by the Evans blue method, the absolute plasma volume and the ratio of plasma volume to body weight were found to be significantly lower in 5 male rats hypophysectomized from 6-9 days previously than in intact control animals. In 5 male rats hypophysectomized from 6-9 days previously and given 50 tibia units of somatotropic hormone twice daily during the survival period, a normal plasma volume and a normal ratio of plasma volume to body weight were observed. Keywords
